We would like to inform our clientele, specifically those that had pets that were seen at Riverside last Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29 and 30th, that one of our employees that was working that day has recently tested positive for COVID. Based on the fact that we are still doing curbside only service and following all CDC guidelines within our business structure for the optimum protection of our clients and our employees, the contact that any of our clientele (and hence the public) would have had with that employee last Tuesday and Wednesday was very limited and hence the chance of inadvertent exposure to COVID would be very low.
All of our employees wear masks and practice social distancing as much as possible according to the CDC recommendations-we have safety and health protocols in place with our staff to keep us all as safe as possible while working amongst one another and the public.
At this time it is important to note that NO ADDITIONAL EMPLOYEES have tested positive for the virus but we will continue to remain vigilant about our employees’ health, our clients’ health, and the health of our four-legged furry family members.
If you should have any concerns about your own health or a possible exposure, we recommend that you see your doctor and get tested for COVID.
In the meantime, Riverside will continue to only allow our clients into the building with patients that are seeking end-of-life care. We will continue to offer curbside service for our patients, just as we have been since March, as we work to continue to follow and adhere to the CDC guidelines in a continued effort to keep our staff and community healthy.
Due to this development, the clinic will be closed tomorrow, October 7th, to allow for extra cleaning procedures to take place. We are sorry for the late notice and any inconvenience this may cause you. As of now, we will resume normal hours Thursday, October 8th.
